This is a fundraiser that is truly close to our hearts.
Hare Today Bare tomorrow was set up by Allison Natonewski (our Director’s wife).
In 1993, at just 12yrs old, Allison’s twin sister, Ainsley Dansick, was diagnosed with a rare muscle tumour (Rhabdomyosarcoma). Click here for Ainsley’s Story . It was at this time she had the privilege of being introduced to Ainsley’s Oncologist, Professor George Kannourakis, the founder and director of the Institute. Over the years whilst Ainsley was undergoing treatment, they formed a strong bond which led to Ainsley’s passion and voice of hope in helping to raise much needed funds for cancer research. This allowed George and his team to carry out vital, world renowned research and purchase laboratory equipment for the self funded Institute.
Ainsley lost her battle with cancer in 2001 on her 20th birthday. Inspired by her courage and determination, Ainsley’s family and friends made sure that her legacy would continue, with the hope of one day finding a cure for cancer.
A fundraising event has been organised for Saturday 28 March 2020 at Capri.
Tickets can be purchased here.
